Planting Day
Saturday, November 21, 2009
On Saturday, November 21, we gathered at the museum to plant gardens around the building. David Post, a landscape architect from Donovan – Feola – Balderson & Associates, Inc. volunteered to design some plantings for us and then found John Austin of Green Gardens, Inc. in Clarksburg to provide the plant material, the compost, the mulch, and the labor to do the whole thing. A few Heritage Society members and two ladies from the garden club rolled out at 8:00 AM. Here you can see our progress throughout the day and finally the finished product.
